Musical Interests
- Studied composition, musical theory and the piano (with Prof. Rolf Hempel and Prof. Paul Buck) at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart during German high school from 1986 to 1994
- Former member of a boys' choir (Stuttgarter Hymnus-Chorknaben), sung solo parts in operas and oratorios
- Numerous performances and radio broadcasts of own compositions (orchestra works and chamber music) in Germany and Russia.
- Winner of several German youth composition prizes
- Half-hour portrait broadcast worldwide on the radio station“Deutsche Welle” in 1995
- Participation in workshops on algorithmic composition at the external pageCenter for Research in Music and Acousticscall_made (CCRMA) at Stanford University (1995) and the external pageInstitut de Recherche et de Coordination Acoustique/Musiquecall_made (IRCAM) in Paris (1997)
